TIME MANAGEMENT TIPS TO QUALIFY IBPS PO Exam
Time is an important factor and needs to be managed effectively while attempting the written exam. Competitive exams like: IBPS, SBI, SSC, RRB, Bank and CWE, needs to be attempted within the time limit. It is very challenging as it is the yardstick to qualify IBPS or any other competitive exam.
It needs a well-weaved strategy to clear the exam which can be accomplished by following the tricks mentioned below:
1. Analyse the exam
Choose to attempt the easy questions first and difficult afterwards. Difficult questions demand more time and proves to be a limiting factor of speed. In case your speed is normal then you can attempt as much as 70 per cent from each section within the stipulated time.
2. Devote Unequal time to each of the sections
There is no need to give equal time to all the sections because it is not necessary that you know all the questions. Try to devote more time to the sections you are strong at. Attempt lesser number of questions from the section you are weaker at but not less than you need to clear the sectional cut – off.
3. Attempt Reading Comprehension first
It is advisable to attempt reading comprehension in the English section first as it will enable you to score 10 marks at a stretch which is enough to clear the sectional cut off.
4. Allocate normal time to each question
Assign average time to each question and stick to the time allotted per question. It is better to leave the question if it is taking time longer than you have assigned for it. If time permits attempt it later. The analysis of the previous year IBPS PO papers shows that there are about 15 per cent difficult questions, therefore, it is better to attempt those at the end i.e.: after attempting all the sections.
5. Attempt grouped questions rather than Individual questions first
Try to solve the grouped questions first such as Seating Arrangement, Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Para jumbles. These questions are block questions with 5-6 questions at a stretch and you stand a chance to score 5-6 marks in one go. Be 100 per cent sure before marking the final answer as there will be negative marking.
6. Practice online mock tests before the exams
